Using Visual Journals as workbooks in Coaching

When working with people in a coaching situation, pictures, metaphors, imagery and drawings become a vital tool to make the client unterstand his situation, explore his opportunities,Ā discover his ressourcesĀ and reflect his history. Based on very good experiences that I had made with journals, we extended the idea of working with a customized “book” of visual templates. This way, the coachee can partly work on his own, use the journal as a foundation for discussion with selected people and structure his thoughts and findings along a suitable process.

Due to the fact, that every human being is different and every coachee is different, we believe in highly customizable journals. Not every person needs the same set of questions or images or templates. Depending on the actual situation, the goals and the personality a visual journal should be adapted.IMG_3772
